Solids3D privacy policy
Effective October 11, 2026
The short version: Solids3D does not collect, store on our servers, share or sell any personal information. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. The shapes you make stay on your device.
Who we are
Solids3D is an iPhone app published by Fairfax AppWorks ("we", "us"). Questions about this policy can be sent to support@fairfaxappworks.com.
Information we collect
None. We do not collect any information about you or your device, and we have no servers that the app talks to. The app does not require an account or any sign-in.
Information that stays on your device
Saved shapes. When you save a shape, the app stores its name and the settings needed to rebuild it (for example "hexagonal prism, 6 sides") in the app's private storage on your iPhone. This data is never sent to us. It is removed when you delete the app.
Names you type. Text you enter in "Make a shape" and the search field is processed on your device only, to work out which shape to build.
Exporting
When you choose Export in the full-screen viewer, Solids3D creates an image, STL or OBJ file in a temporary folder on your device and opens the standard iOS share sheet. What happens next is up to you and the app or service you choose there (for example Photos, Files, AirDrop or a 3D-printing app). Solids3D does not see or control where you send the file, and that destination's own privacy policy applies to it.
Permissions
Solids3D does not ask for access to your photos, camera, microphone, location, contacts, tracking permission or any other protected data. Saving an exported image to Photos is done through the iOS share sheet, which does not give Solids3D access to your photo library.
Third parties
Solids3D contains no third-party code, advertising, analytics or crash-reporting services. We do not share your information with anyone because we do not have any.
Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymous statistics such as downloads and crash reports if you have chosen to share diagnostics with app developers in your iOS settings. These do not identify you.
Children
Solids3D does not collect information from anyone, including children under 13, and is suitable for all ages.
Security
Because your data stays on your device, it is protected by your iPhone's own security features such as your passcode and device encryption.
Your rights
As we hold no personal information about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. You can delete everything the app has stored at any time by deleting the app, or remove individual saved shapes by long-pressing them in the Saved tab and tapping the ×.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, for example if a future version adds a feature that handles data differently, we will update this page and the effective date above, and will describe the change in the app's release notes.
